THE HISTORY OF JEFFERSON APARTMENT GROUP
Jefferson Apartment Group was founded by Jim Butz and Greg Lamb in 2009. Together with investors from Akridge, the team completed the buyout of JPI East, the East Coast division of Dallas-based JPI Multifamily, Inc. Messrs. Butz and Lamb began investing together as JPI Partners in 2000. Together, they have been responsible for the acquisition or development of over 18,000 units with a value of more than $3 billion in 10 states along the East Coast.
They feel privileged to have long-term relationships from acquiring and developing properties with outstanding firms such as Rockpoint Group, GE Capital Real Estate, Pritzker Realty Group, AEW Capital Management, Prudential, Hunt Realty, LaSalle and Northwestern Mutual.
